In the framework of CFI’s Makanati project in partnership with AHJ, the Humanitarian Aid and Journalism organisation, IJWF the Iraqi women Journalist Forum, and SEMC, the Studies and Economic Media Center, with the support of the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, AHJ is pleased to launch a call for applications for the online workshop “Newsroom Management”.

The CFI, the French Agency for Media Development, a subsidiary of France Médias Monde, oversees coordinating and leading the French policy of Development Aid for Media and works alongside media organizations and members of civil society, to promote pluralistic and democratic news and to support the objectives of sustainable development.
ئاژانسی فەڕەنسی بۆ بەرەوپێشبردنی میدیا ،لقێکی لاوەکی کۆمەڵەی میدیای فەڕەنسییە بۆ کاروباری دەرەوەی فەڕەنساو ئەرکی ڕێکخستن و بەرێوەبردنی سیاسەتی فەڕەنسییە بۆ پێشخستن و هاریکاریکردنی میدیا و شانبەشانی ڕێکخراوە میدیاییەکان و ئەندامەکانی کۆمەڵگەی مەدەنی کاردەکات بۆ برەودان بە هەواڵەکانی هاوژیانی و دیموکراسی وپشتگیریکردنی ئامانجەکانی گەشەپێدانێکی دوورمەودا
AHJ is an association registered under French law (1901), founded in 2017. It allows people in the conflict zones, especially women, to train in journalism and creativity, to assert their rights to freedom of expression, information, and education. AHJ acts within a secular framework and is open to all ethnic groups and minorities.
ڕێکخراوی ئاژ دامەزراوەیەکی تۆمارکراوە لەژێر یاسای فەڕەنسی (١٩٠١) دا و لە ساڵی ٢٠١٧ دامەزراوە. یارمەتی خەڵکانی ناوچە ناجێگیره‌کان دەدات ، بە تایبەتی ژنان، بۆ ئەوەی ڕاهێنان لە بوارەکانی رۆژنامەوانی و داهێناندا وەربگرن، بۆ ئەوەی جەخت لەسەر مافەکانی ئازادیی دەربڕین و گەیشتن بە زانیاریی و خوێندن بکەنەوە. ئاژ لە چوارچێوەیەکی سێکیولاردا کاردەکات و بە ڕووی گشت گروپی نەتەوە جیاوازەکان و کەمایەتییەکاندا کراوەیە
Makanati project (which means “my place” in Arabic), encourages a wider participation of women, a better understanding by the local population of the challenges they face, particularly through the production and dissemination of information about women. It also aims to raise awareness among journalists and future journalists of the subject of gender equality in the media, women’s rights, and leadership.

Over the past 18 months, newsrooms have faced multiple challenges with bottlenecks and a lack of capacity, but this has also helped create new opportunities. To support the digitization of media work, AHJ will organize a training in team management, installation of workflow systems, data collection, exploitation and analysis.

How will workshop work? خولی راهێنانه‌كه چۆن به‌رێوه ده‌چێت؟
The training will include several comprehensive and interactive online sessions of four days duration. The participants will be divided into two groups according to the speaking languages; Kurdish or Arabic. In the sessions, the participants will be trained in the following skills: –

Language: This workshop will be virtual (online) and will be held via Zoom platform in Arabic with simultaneous translation into Kurdish.
