Revitalising and Enhancing Media in Sudan (REM) – Call for applications

Call for Applications- Social Media Content & Production Training for Sudanese Journalists and Content Creators.

In the frameworks of its Revitalising and Enhancing Media in Sudan (REM) project the Delegation of the European Union to Sudan and in partnership with Internews and CFI – the French media development agency – invites Sudanese journalists and content creators (based inside or outside the country) to apply for an online training on social media content and production.
The program will focus on storytelling, audience engagement, video and photo editing, understanding digital platforms, case studies with Facebook and X, and advocacy journalism.

There will be two categories of beneficiaries:

  • Sudanese Journalists
  • Sudanese Content Creators

The Revitalising and Enhancing Media in Sudan (REM) project seeks to address these urgent needs by strengthening the capacity and resilience of Sudanese media. Its overarching objective is to improve access to high-quality, inclusive, and fact-based information, enabling the Sudanese public to make informed decisions and engage constructively in peacebuilding and social cohesion.

This workshop will be composed of 2 online training sessions:

  • 1 training for 8 weeks for 3 hours per week (November 2025)
  • 1 training for 8 weeks for 3 hours per week (2026)

Each participant will complete a 48-hour online training program (8 weeks, 3 hours per week). A certificate of completion will be awarded upon successful participation.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a Sudanese journalist or content creator – Youth, particularly women, and disabled people are encouraged to apply;
  • Have an experience or an interest in producing content on social media plateform
  • Be available to attend the applicable training sessions
  • The applicant must demonstrate knowledge of local context, priorities and sensitivities and respect for diversity;
  • Have the language proficiency in Arabic to attend the trainings;
  • Be available to provide feedback to CFI on how the training helped you achieve your goals.
